VicHealth – ‘Doing Sport Differently’ – Wangaratta Pickleball Club

Sport North East has partnered with VicHealth and Regional Sport Victoria to showcase the incredible Pickelball program. The Pickleball program is a partnership between Sport North East, VicHealth, Wangaratta Pickleball Club and Rural City of Wangaratta and aims to increase participation in community sport. This was achieved by acknowledging a key barrier to participation and addressing it through implementing a program that caters to all skill levels, age, gender and abilities.

VicHealth is a long-term partner of Sport North East, and this project is a great example of implementing the Doing Sport Differently principle 3 which is ‘Participation should cater to different levels of skill, ability and fitness’.
