A scholarship to Change Our Game

Sport North East’s Project Coordinator, Felicity Munro was lucky enough to recently be awarded a Women in Leadership Scholarship as part of the Victorian Government’s Change Our Game Scholarship Program.

Felicity leads Sport North East’s Learn Support Lead: activating women in leadership program, currently taking place in Wodonga and the Towong Shire. The scholarship will help Felicity understand the current local context for women in leadership roles, which will enhance the development of the Learn Support Lead program.

“I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to network and develop a support circle,” she said. “The potential for ongoing one-to-one mentoring is really exciting.”

Felicity is no stranger to the responsibilities, rewards and challenges of leadership. As well as running her own business, she has been the president of the Tatong Football Netball Club and the founding president of the Samaria Suns Masters Football Club. Felicity has also recently joined the AFL Vic Country Masters Board.

Felicity will be attending a women in leadership forum and masterclass in Wodonga and Melbourne. Thank you to the Victorian Government for their support of women in leadership and Sport North East.
