Two of our Level Three Good Sports Accredited clubs have hosted a Responsible Service of Alcohol course to keep their volunteers up-to-date.

As Level 3 Good Sports, Beechworth Football Netball Club and Wangaratta Magpies Football Netball Club have positioned themselves as leaders in their community by having policies and procedures in place ensuring a healthy family-friendly sporting environment.  Sport North East, through The Centre offer discounted Responsible Service of Alcohol course fee’s for Good Sports Accredited Clubs

IS YOUR CLUB A GOOD SPORTS CLUB?

Being a Good Sports Accredited Club makes your club safer – Providing responsible service of alcohol for members will help to reduce risky drinking and promote a healthy club environment.

It positions your club as a leader – The Good Sports accreditation is recognition of your club’s important role in the community. By role-modelling positive behaviours, your club will be more family-friendly and can have a lasting impact on the community.

There are more funding opportunities – A strong and family-friendly club is attractive to sponsors and funders. Good Sports clubs see an increase in sponsorship dollars and are often looked on more favourably for grant applications.

You club stays ahead of the game – We’ve done the research and we know what success looks like. Joining Good Sports is a commitment to making your club the best it can be.

Head to the Good Sports website to register for the Accreditation program and one of the Sport North East Good Sports Project Officers will contact you.
