Child Safe Standards Information Sessions
Sport North East partnership with Alpine and Towong Shires, invites local sporting clubs to a free information session about the Victorian Government’s Child Safe Standards and how your club can implement them.
By attending this interactive session, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the mandatory Standards and how you can apply them to create a culture that ensures all children feel physically, emotionally and culturally safe.
Topics include:
- the culture and leadership of your organisation
- the policies you need
- how to put together a code of conduct
- recruit and train staff and volunteers
- respond to and report suspected abuse
- identify and remove risks
- promote the participation and empowerment of the children in your club.
